Mitch Hedderly – Head Coach (CFL1 & CFK)
Mitch was introduced to CrossFit back in 2006 by a fellow Army captain while on deployment to Iraq. He was immediately impressed with how efficient and effective the methodology was for gaining strength and increasing endurance and stamina — two areas that had always seemed to require development isolated from each other, and thus, lots of time.
After over seven years of active duty military service, Mitch switched gears to pursue work in the education field. This career transition ultimately led him to teaching Latin and coaching P.E. at Providence Preparatory School in Belton. While there, Mitch has used his CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (Aug. 2013) status to build a CrossFit Kids program, integrate it into the P.E. curriculum of the school, and officially affiliate the program through CrossFit HQ. The program has since enjoyed great success and enthusiasm from participants and their families.
This endeavor helped catalyze the eventual partnership that led to the creation of CrossFit Non Nobis. As head coach, Mitch strives to create and sustain a program that utilizes the CrossFit methodology to the enjoyment and benefit of others akin to he has experienced in his own life with it. The community that is built through CrossFit, the personal gains, the skills athletes acquire through this training that may have been unimaginable beforehand are all reasons that motivate him to operate the best CrossFit training program possible.
